Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Wayrest (the game at wayrest.cloud and the Wayrest mobile app) collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it to what the game needs to work.
What we collect
- Your account. Everyone starts as a guest with an in-game name. If you create an account, we also store your email address and your password, which is kept only as a secure one-way hash — we never see or store it in plain text.
- Your game progress. Your save: heroes, levels, items, currencies, quests, stages cleared and settings, so you can continue on any device.
- Arena data. Your in-game name, your defence team, your rating and your duel history. These are visible to other players, because other players fight your defence team.
- Pre-registration. If you pre-register on our website, we store the email address you give us and when you signed up. We use it to deliver your pre-registration reward when that email is used for an account in the game, and to tell you about the launch. Ask us to remove it at any time.
- Messages you send us. When you use the support form or in-game feedback, we store your message, the email you give us, and basic details that help us fix problems (such as your browser or device type and where you were in the game).
- Technical information. When your device connects, our servers see its IP address. We use it to keep the game secure — to limit abuse and to run a bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) on sign-up, sign-in and the support form. We also record when your account was last active.
- Advertising (mobile app only). The Wayrest app can show an optional rewarded video ad when you choose to watch one for stamina or gems. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which collects your device's advertising ID, your IP address and basic device information to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK) the app asks for your consent first, and on iOS it asks your permission before any tracking. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. The website version shows no ads.
- Usage statistics. Our website and game use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages and features are used. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers; see Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
We do not collect your real name, phone number, precise location, contacts or photos, and Wayrest does not sell anything for real money.
How we use it
- To run the game: save your progress, let you sign in on other devices, match you against other players in the Arena, and send in-game mail and rewards.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To keep the game fair and secure, and to fix bugs.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the game is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers below, who process it on our behalf to run the game.
Service providers
- Cloudflare — delivers the site securely and runs the bot check.
- Google Analytics — usage statistics for the website and game.
- Google AdMob — the optional rewarded ads in the mobile app. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the game's servers and database.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and game data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed from our live database straight away. Copies can remain in our backups for a limited time until those backups are replaced.
Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, from inside the game: open Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your progress, your Arena record, your mail and the support messages you sent us.
If you cannot get into the game, email us from the address on your account at [email protected] and we will delete it for you.
Your choices and rights
You can change your in-game name in Settings, and you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honour them.
Children
Wayrest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Connections to Wayrest are encrypted, passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to player data is limited to the people who run the game. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell players in the game's news when the change matters.
